Studio 48 Performing Arts Center is offering a summer camp for singers who are interested in singing in a group setting. Students will learn singing techniques, harmony, musical terms and dynamics. Campers will also learn performing arts techniques for show choirs.
Fairy-Tale Dance Camp June 27-30, 2022 Mon-Thur 9AM-10:15AM
Ages: 3-5. Tuition: $85 Instructor: Katie Ackerson
Campers will dance to a popular Fairy-Tale applying modern contemporary ballet technique and expression. This is a 4-day morning camp.
Disney Dance Camp June 27-30, 2022. Mon.-Thur. 11:00 AM-2 PM
Ages: 6-9 Tuition: $210
Join Dance Instructor Katie Ackerson for an hour and a half long Disney Dance Camp. Come to dance class in your favorite disney prince or princess. Explore character through modern dance skills. Class will meet Monday through Thursday 10:30 AM to 12 noon.
Music Theory, Sight-singing & Songwriting
June 27-July 1, 2022
Monday - Friday. 9 AM-12 noon
Ages: Tweens & Teens. Tuition: $225 + Registration

Music Theory, Sight-Singing & Ear-Training workshop is designed for the musician and singer who is interested in reading music at first sight. Sight-Singing not only helps the singer to improve sightreading skills, it will also help pitch accuracy and rythmical skills. Music Theory helps students understand the fundamentals of music. This will help singers and musicians understand the language of music. This will help in song-writing, composition, voicing, key signatures, rhythm and structure.
Students who audition for Maine All-State and Districts choirs or instrumental, will greatly benefit from this workshop. Introduction to Song-writing.
Students will need to bring staff paper, a water bottle, healthy snacks and pencils. Learning material will be provided.
Writing Camp July 18-22, 2022. Monday through Friday. 10AM - 12noon
Ages: 12+. Tuition: $225 + Registration. Instructor: Stasia Minkowsky
"Bring your creativity as we explore the elements of what makes a memorable story. We will examine character development, plot development, as well as basic story structure. There will be plenty of brainstorming and free flowing writing exercises to inspire the development of your own work. If you can dream it, you can write it."
Stasia has expert knowledge in screen writing and writing a book. Whether you are interested in writing a screen play or your own story, this camp is for you.
